Replika pricing: what is public and what is not

Replika has no price page (replika.com/pricing returned a 404 in October 2026). Its help center says prices are "shown in the app on the subscription screens and in the relevant store", and web checkout prices (Stripe or PayPal) are not visible without an account. Google Play shows only a range for all in-app items: $0.99 to $299.99 per item in the US.

The Terms (March 30, 2026) name four programs: Free Use, Replika Pro, Replika Ultra and Replika Platinum, billed monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. The only itemized prices we could check are on the US App Store:

What each App Store entry costs per month

Apple's list does not explain why there are two monthly and three annual entries, or which tier each belongs to. So we do not label any entry as "Pro" or "Ultra": that would be a guess.

What the Replika pricing numbers do show: every annual entry costs less per month than either monthly entry. A year of the $7.99 entry adds up to $95.88, almost twice the $49.99 annual entry. Before switching to annual billing, check on the in-app subscription screen that both options are the same tier.

Pro, Ultra and Platinum: what each tier adds

Two loose ends. The help center mentions existing Lifetime subscribers, who get Ultra automatically, but we found no current lifetime offer or price. And one App Store reviewer mentions a "Max" subscription that no official page describes.

What you get without paying

The help center says "chatting with Replika will always be free", including avatar customization. The Terms are more guarded: Free Use is "limited access" that Replika may deny at its discretion. Voice calls, guided conversations, roleplay options, relationship statuses beyond Friend and advanced customization need a subscription. No free message cap is published.

There is no trial: the help center says "Right now, we don't offer a free trial." Two 2026 store reviews describe being asked to pay to keep chatting; no official source confirms that, so treat it as a user report.

Gems and coins

Replika's in-app store runs on coins and gems. Coins come from levelling up and daily rewards, subscribers receive gems, and gems can be bought with or without a subscription and converted to coins. They pay for clothing, appearance options, personality traits, interests and room furniture, not for messages or calls.

The App Store list does not show how many gems each pack contains, so we cannot compare value per gem.

Web vs App Store vs Google Play

You can subscribe in the iOS app, the Android app or on the web (my.replika.com, paid by card or PayPal). Only the App Store shows itemized prices publicly. The Terms say a subscription can be changed or cancelled only through the marketplace where you bought it.

One cost trap in Replika pricing: each account has one Replika, and the help center says a second Replika needs a second account with a different email, and a separate store account to subscribe. Two companions means two subscriptions.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. If a payment fails and is not settled within 7 days, the account drops to Free Use. To cancel:

1. In the app or at my.replika.com: Settings (gear icon), Subscription, Cancel subscription.
2. App Store: iPhone Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions.
3. Google Play: Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
4. PayPal: cancel the subscription inside PayPal.

Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription. More detail in our AI companion cancellation guide.

Refunds

Replika treats all sales as final and does not refund partial periods. Web purchases are refunded only where the law requires it: the EU 14-day withdrawal right ends once digital content delivery begins, and Brazil has a 7-day right. App Store and Google Play purchases go through the store: Apple takes requests at reportaproblem.apple.com and gives an update within 24 to 48 hours, while Google Play says a refund may be possible within 48 hours of purchase and points you to the developer after that.

Is Replika worth paying for?

• Text chat only: officially free, so try that first.
• Calls, romantic status, selfies: need a paid tier; the lowest itemized entries are $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year, tier unconfirmed.
• Selfie videos and Training mode: Platinum, listed at $89.99 with no period shown.
