Where an AI girlfriend app runs matters more than most buyers expect. App stores set rules for adult content, take over billing and refunds, and have removed apps (Apple pulled SpicyChat's), so adult-focused services tend to be browser first. This section covers four routes: iPhone, Android, the browser and the desktop. We did not install or test anything; the facts come from store listings, company pages and the store policies, checked on October 20, 2026.
AI Girlfriend Apps With Mobile Apps
Eight apps have a verified listing on both stores: Kindroid, Replika, Janitor AI, Romantic AI, EVA AI, Talkie, Chai and Character.AI. Nomi has an iPhone app, and its wiki says it is on Google Play too, though we could not load that listing. Paradot and Anima have Android apps, and the iPhone links on their sites are dead.
The rest skip the stores. SpicyChat, CrushOn.AI and Muah AI offer an Android APK from their own sites, while Candy AI, Kupid AI, Nastia AI, DreamGF and GirlfriendGPT are web apps you can pin to your home screen. Downloading an APK carries risks that a store listing does not.
Why the Device Matters
Apple's guideline 1.2 says NSFW content from a web service must be hidden by default, and Google Play bars content intended to be sexually gratifying. That is why Janitor AI's apps open in Restricted Mode and why the web versions are usually fuller. A purchase also follows the device: store subscriptions are cancelled and refunded through Apple or Google, while web purchases follow the company's own terms.
