What Is Candy AI?

Candy AI (candy.ai) is an AI girlfriend platform run by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta. It runs in the browser and combines chat, pictures on request, short AI videos and a character builder. The plan page lists "Generate 18+ Images" and "Generate 18+ Videos" as paid benefits, so this is an adult product first.

The help center also documents a set of newer extras, several marked beta: Candy Shorts (short AI episodes), Live Action (interactive erotic video scenes), Candy Cam (a simulated live stream with token tips), Candy Roulette (video chat with AI characters), Interactive Stories and a preset video builder. Candy AI does not name its language models; the Privacy Notice only says third-party LLM providers "may receive the content of your messages".

Who Is Candy AI For?

Candy AI suits adults who want a visual companion: a character they design, explicit images and short videos on request, and voice notes, without installing an app. It fits less well if you want a real free tier, predictable costs, a native app or chats kept out of AI training. How Candy AI Works

You sign up with email, Google or Discord, pick one of the ready-made characters (the home page says over 100) or build your own, and start chatting. On Premium, text messages are unlimited and cost no tokens. According to the help center, tokens pay for:

• images, and turning an image into a short video
• creating a custom character (more detailed ones cost more)
• listening to voice messages and voice calls (beta)
• "My Private Content" photo and video packs, exclusive characters, Candy Cam tips and Candy Roulette (5 tokens per minute)

Apart from the Candy Roulette rate, per-feature token costs are not published. An Image Generation Toggle stops automatic pictures in chat, and the "Realistic" mode, where a character may send unprompted photos or voice notes, can be switched off. Proactive messages were removed in June 2026.

Character Creation

The "Create My AI" builder asks for ethnicity (Caucasian, Asian or Latina; Arab and Black/Afro are listed as in development), age range, eye color, hair style and color, body features, personality, voice, hobbies or occupation and the type of relationship. A free account can create one character; Premium can create several, and more detail costs more tokens.

Each created character runs in Classic Mode or Roleplay Mode, but the switch to Roleplay Mode is permanent. No field length limits are published. Our page on AI girlfriend apps with custom characters compares builders across apps.

Chat Quality

We did not chat with Candy AI ourselves. The home page promises characters "built with advanced personality modeling and memory retention", while the help center notes that moderation "may still limit certain types of interactions regardless of character settings".

We found no user reports we could fairly summarize: Reddit blocked automated access, the Trustpilot profile for candy.ai is marked as removed, and the one other public review we found promotes a competing site. The 5 free messages are the only way to judge replies before paying.

Personality and Roleplay

The official FAQ says Candy AI supports many roleplay scenarios. Besides switching a created character to Roleplay Mode, you can play Interactive Stories ("Neon Run"), which offer choice-driven episodes, and use Clone Chat to branch a conversation. Memory

Candy AI publishes no context size or retention length for memory. The help center says memory is tied to the active chat: Reset Chat or Delete Chat clears the conversation and its memory together. Voice Features

Characters send voice notes in the voice you pick at creation, and listening to one costs tokens. Voice calls are a beta feature, also paid with tokens, with no per-minute price or included minutes published, and the help center says voice may be unavailable for some characters. Image and Video Generation

You can ask for a picture in chat or use a separate generator; 18+ images are a Premium benefit, and a free account gets one image. Each paid image uses tokens, at a cost Candy AI does not publish.

There is no direct text-to-video. The help center says you generate an image in chat and convert it into a short video with tokens. Adult / NSFW Features

Candy AI is for adults only. Its age policy asks users to confirm at an age gate that they are over 18; that is a self-declaration, but the Terms let EverAI ask for more proof, and the Privacy Notice mentions third-party age estimation or ID checks "as applicable based on your location". The Terms also block access from China and Singapore.

Premium includes 18+ images and videos, character content packs mix SFW and NSFW photos and videos, and Live Action is described as "immersive erotic video experiences" (Premium-only, token-gated, selected characters, currently mobile only). There is no filter switch. The Terms describe moderation that can alter or block requests, and the Community Guidelines ban any depiction of minors, non-consensual material, images resembling real people and "jailbreak" attempts.

Mobile and Web Availability

Candy AI runs in any desktop or mobile browser and can be added to your home screen as a Progressive Web App with push notifications. The help center states that "Candy.ai does not offer a native mobile app for iOS or Android". Store searches in October 2026 found only name-alike apps from other sellers, so a store app called "Candy" is not the same service. English and French are officially supported. Pricing

We viewed the public plan page, candy.ai/subscriptions, logged out from an EU IP on October 20, 2026. It showed euro prices only, so we quote them as seen and do not convert them. The page says "additional local taxes may apply".

Every Premium plan lists the same benefits: your own AI girlfriends, 18+ images and videos, full Live Action, unlimited text and 100 tokens a month. Premium Plus, the newest tier in the help center, gives 330 tokens a month plus personas, live audio and 20 memory slots, but its price is not public.

Candy AI publishes no fixed Tokens packs with prices.

Spent on: Help center: image generation, creating a custom AI, listening to a voice message, voice calls (beta), unlocking My Private Content (MPC) packs, video generation (image-to-video). Also token-priced: Candy Roulette video chat (5 tokens per minute), Candy Cam tips and some Live Action actions, exclusive-character unlocks (example given: 200 tokens). Regular text chat costs no tokens.

Two official sources disagree on token expiry. Terms section 10.2 says unused subscription tokens expire when the subscription ends, while a help-center article says canceling does not delete your token balance. Plan as if tokens could be lost when you cancel.

Plans renew automatically, and a backup payment method on file may be charged if the default one fails. To cancel, go to My Profile, then Settings, then "Unsubscribe" under the subscription details; access lasts until the paid period ends. Refunds, under the Terms of Service revised September 22, 2026, are narrow:

• ask within 24 hours of payment, by email to support, with no more than 20 tokens used (canceling is not a refund request)
• card payments only; used token packages are not refunded
• EU and UK buyers have a 14-day withdrawal right on the first purchase only, minus a prorated amount for what was used

Free Plan

The free account is a preview. The help center and Terms section 9 allow 5 messages in total across all characters, one custom character and one image; after that, "further use requires a subscription". The home page mentions a "free trial", but the plan page shows no timed trial. If you want a usable free option, see the best free AI girlfriend apps.

Privacy and Data Handling

These points come from the Privacy Notice (revised October 19, 2026) and the Terms:

• Collected: email, nickname, gender, login provider, age-check results, country and city from your IP, your prompts and the generated outputs, support messages, device and cookie data. Payments go through named processors (Emerchantpay, TrustPay, Volt, Coingate, UpGate).
• Training use: yes. The Terms license your content for "training, developing, enhancing, evolving and improving" EverAI's AI models, and dataset preparation "may include human review of de-identified and/or anonymized interactions". No opt-out is described.
• Staff access: flagged content may be reviewed by EverAI or authorized partners, plus random quality checks.
• Third parties: LLM providers or hosters may receive your messages; data may be transferred outside the EU, including to the US.
• Encryption: TLS 1.2+ in transit per the home-page FAQ; at-rest and end-to-end encryption are not stated.
• Retention: account data for 3 years after your last activity (possibly shortened) or until you ask for deletion; financial data 10 years; debug logs 30 days.
• Deletion: My Profile, Settings, "Danger Zone", Delete Account. Some data is kept for legal periods, and deleting before renewal also cancels the subscription. There is no chat export tool.

Candy AI Review: Pros and Cons

Best Alternatives to Candy AI

CrushOn.AI is the text-first option: a permanent free plan with 100 message credits a month, unlimited Free Models, US dollar plans from $5.99 a month and a large user-made character library, but no documented image generator. DreamGF is the closest match in format, a girlfriend builder with images, voice calls and tokens, with published per-action token costs but first-period offers that renew at double the price; see Candy AI vs DreamGF.
