What Nomi launched on September 30, 2026
Nomi's knowledge-base guide calls V3 its most advanced video generator. You start from a still image, such as one in a Nomi's album, write a prompt describing the motion, and the generator animates it. It follows the V5 image-generation guide that Nomi's updates index lists on April 24, 2026; we saw only that entry's title and date. Our Nomi review covers the rest of the app.
How Nomi video generation works
According to the guide, you choose between SD, a faster mode, and HD, which gives higher quality and is recommended when the action needs a decent amount of movement. Clips can be 5, 10 or 15 seconds, and the guide suggests longer clips for prompts with many actions. A prompt enhancer helps write the motion description. The guide describes image-to-video only, and we found no text-to-video mode.
What video costs
Nomi's wiki lists 6 credits for an SD video and 10 for an HD video, used after the daily allowance of requests is spent. The daily numbers are not published, and the guide does not say whether a 15-second clip costs more than a 5-second one. At the 100-credit pack price of $9.99 (US App Store), an HD video works out to about $1. Subscriptions and credit packs are in our Nomi pricing guide.
| Pack | Price | Per unit |
|---|---|---|
| 40 Nomi Credits | $4.99 | $0.125 |
| 100 Nomi Credits | $9.99 | $0.100 |
| 225 Nomi Credits | $19.99 | $0.089 |
| 600 Nomi Credits | $49.99 | $0.083 |
| 1,800 Nomi Credits | $99.99 | $0.056 |
Spent on: 1 credit = 1 selfie, art or image edit request (used only after the daily allowance is spent); 6 credits = standard-definition video, 10 = high-definition video; 25 = extra group chat room; 50 = anchor generation; 100 = extra Nomi slot. Credits do not expire; an active subscription is required to buy them.

Video is limited to paid plans. Nomi's wiki says video creation, voice messages, calls and group chats become read-only if you downgrade to the free plan, which gives 50 messages a day. Credits need an active subscription to buy. The CEO said in an October 2026 Q&A that each video version is expensive to run, per Nomi's wiki.
Video and Nomi's adult content rules
Nomi's wiki says its Nomis are not permitted to take nude photos, and selfies pass a nudity filter. The company has said image restrictions differ by platform, from the mobile app (most restricted) to paid or age-verified web (least restricted). The video guide we read does not state whether the same limits apply to video, so we could not confirm that. For the wider picture, see our NSFW AI girlfriend apps list.
How it compares
Video support varies widely. Kindroid documents video selfies and live video calls rather than image-to-video clips. Our AI girlfriend video guide and image generation list show which apps publish clip lengths and costs, and Nomi alternatives and Nomi vs Kindroid compare the apps. More stories are in our news hub.
